The oldest Club in Canberra founded in 1938.
Proud history developing ACT and Southern NSW Rugby talent with well-known Wallabies putting on the blue, red and white such as Wallaby captains, George Gregan, Stephen Moore and Matt Giteau. Other notable rugby products include Blake Enever, Peter Samu, Jame Slipper and a host of Brumbies players over the years currently playing for our Senior Club.
Easts Juniors train and play at the Curtin Fields on Dunstan Street in Curtin and regularly play games before our Seniors as part of the weekly Premiership competition in Canberra - the John I. Dent Cup
Age Groups range from Under 7s to Under 18s with U7s to U12s made of fantastic girls and boys. We are determined to build on our recent addition of U13s, U14s and -U18s boys teams and establishing U14s, U16s & U18s Girls teams in the 10s and 7s formats. In partnership with Royals, we combine boys teams in the U13s and U14s to ensure we have teams for our kids to play regular Rugby.
Easts Juniors are focused on delivering the best quality, safest and enjoyable coaching. All of our coaches suitably qualified and Working With Vulnerable People registered.
Our core values are respect, resilience, leadership, collaboration and commitment in everything we do for the kids on and off the pitch. Inclusion, enjoyment and participation are critical to our growth and if we do all of these things well, results naturally come through.
We strongly and actively connect with our local and surrounding community in getting involved in supporting our senior, disadvantaged and those that want to be engaged. We have many relationships with family-based organisations to give every potential rugby player the opportunity to play through our Community Scholarship program.
We have developed our Rugby+ program so that we can exude our values off the pitch and give our older players opportunities to learn about life beyond school and tertiary education with a wonderful and super-connected parent group that can offer to mentor through their own diverse skills and experiences - we believe this a model for every Rugby club in Australia.
Rugby is a game for all shapes, sizes, ability and genders and promotes our core values on the field and off. It is a global game and is played in every country around the world.
Easts Juniors Rugby is a level 3 Good Sports compliant sporting Club and we actively promote positive and healthy attributes to life.
